PVC for Dog Canopy Bed
Dog Canopy Bed – If you like to spoil your dog, you can make a four-poster bed for very little money if you have the right tools. You can make a canopy bed made of wood, metal or PVC all available in your local large box of home and garden store. For metal and PVC bed frames, it is in the plumbing supplies section. For decorative wood canopy beds, look in the building materials section or where the message store displays decorative and table legs. Measure the dog from the top of its head to the ground and from the tip of its snout to the rump. Add 12 inches for both measurements.
This will determine the size of the canopy dog bed frame. Construct a frame with metal or PVC pipe. If you are using material metal, simply screw the pieces metal together. If you are using PVC, use PVC glue to help hold the pieces and make a dog canopy bed sturdier. Tie a rope to the end of one of the long sides of the bed. Make sure the knot is strong enough not to loosen. Wrap the rope around the top of the opposite side, bringing it up to the center of the bed and over the top of the knots side. Wrap the string underneath and up through the center of the frame and over the top of the opposite side.

Repeat, keeping 4 to 5 inches apart between the rope as you work your way from one end of the dog canopy bedto the other. Tie the rope, pulling it as tightly as possible. Tie a new piece of string to the end of the short side of the bed. Except weaving the string through the first string. You will end up with a string chessboard pattern across the bed. Mount the mattress against the ropes. Because the mattress can slide over this type of frame, the dog bed should be placed in a corner where the walls will avoid this.
