DIY Elevated Dog Bed PVC
There are many advantages in giving a DIY elevated dog bed PVC to your dog. With the bed raised, the dog will be protected from extreme temperatures that can exist at ground level. Fortunately, it’s easy and affordable to build your own elevated dog bed out of PVC. PVC is a plastic pipe that is durable, cheap and requires little effort or ability to cut and sew. PVC can be used to make a variety of simple structures like elevated dog beds. Calculate how wide, long and high the bed should be to accommodate your dog as many big dogs will be comfortable on a bed about 32 inches long and 28 inches wide. Smaller dogs could spend significantly less space. Think about the height to be about 3 to 6 inches off the ground. You want the dog to fit into the PVC perimeter, but the drug measurements will be much bigger.
Measure and cut PVC tubes with a hacksaw to fit the dimensions you aim for the DIY elevated dog bed. Keep in mind that PVC fittings will add length. You need four pipe lengths for the frame of the bed and another four for the legs. Connect pipes to the three-way corner bracket. The tube should slide straight into the female ends of the fittings. Put cut ends of the bed leg into the fittings. When mounted, place the bed on the floor to check if it is in the water. Remove excess length from individual legs to make the bed as flat as possible. When satisfied, attach the tube to the bracket with screws on the underside of the bed. Each assembly requires three screws.

Trim the fabric to fit the DIY elevated dog bed structure. The fabric will be pulled over the top of the frame and is attached with screws on the underside. Leave it an extra inch, which will be folded under to hide the edge of the material. The fabric should be more inches longer than the dimensions on the frame. Choose a durable material – wear big dogs, use a strong canvas. Lay the fabric flat on the ground, wrong side up, and center the frame of the bed on it with the legs in. air. Wrap the corners of the fabric towards the center so that it is under PVC fitting, leaving the corner of the bracket slightly exposed. The fabric does not cover the inside of the corner. If it does, fold it slightly as it travels along the corner bracket.

From half an inch of the bracket, attach fabric on the underside of PVC pipes with screws. Position screws approximately 4 inches apart. Repeat on all pages. Turn bed with the right side up. Insert a screw on top of each appropriate to secure the corners of the fabric to the top of bed.
